Coeur du Berry Cendré 170g
For fifty years and three generations, the Jacquin family has been producing goat cheeses. The dairy is based in La Vernelle, in the Loire Valley region, where the climate is mild.
This artisanal cheese belongs to the same family as Selles-sur-Cher, but it is heart shaped. Produced in the Loire Valley, and dedicated to the village, Saint Valentin, Coeur du Berry is a creamy white heart, dusted with ash, very smooth and with hints of hazelnut. The texture is initially hard when bitten into but then the cheese melts in the mouth luxuriously.
To try with Loire white wines of course, such as Sancerre or Pouilly-Fume.
