St Felicien 150g
Saint-Felicien is a soft, cow's milk cheese that originated from the farms in the Rhone-Alpes region of France. In France it is labeled a dauphinois cheese, meaning it originates from the former French province of Dauphiné.
Often compared to St Marcellin, St Felicien is bigger and slightly milder. It comes in a beautiful ceramic pot. Matured for at least two weeks, St Felicien has a natural yellow bloomy rind and a soft paste. The taste is gentle due the method of production using soft curd, nutty, with a rich texture.
It pairs well with red wines from Northern Rhone or Burgundy.
