Gevrey Chamb 1er Cru Corbeaux 13
Les Corbeaux (the crows) is a vineyard located just south of the Gevrey-Chambertin village and to the north of the grand cru vineyards of the appellation. Domaine Bachelet has 0.4 hectares of the 3.2-hectare vineyard, the vines are old, with half of the vineyard planted in 1920 and the other half in 1962. The soil is complex with high levels of clay and limestone both retaining water and allowing for excess drainage which helps keep the fruit small and concentrated. 2013 created wines of richness in this vineyard which have developed well over the past few years. The wine is drinking well now but can also continue to develop in your cellar.
