Ch Leoville Barton

Since Thomas Barton, 10 generations manage the destiny of Chateau Leoville Barton with the same passion. Today the estate is expertly run by Anthony Barton, one of the best respected owners in Bordeaux. The family tradition has always remained important at Leoville Barton. Anthony’s daughter, Lilian Barton-Sartorius, is now running the domain, along with her children Melanie and Damien, but father and daughter continue to run it together.

The 50 hectares of Leoville Barton vineyards are planted in gravelly with 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Unlike most Bordeaux wine producers, interestingly, Chateau Leoville Barton has no chateau. The wines are made at their sister property, Chateau Langoa Barton with which it shares ownership.
