Created at the beginning of last century, Domaine Damoy is a star in Chambertin. Prior to 1992 much of the vineyard was rented out but now these have been reclaimed and biodynamic and organic principals have been introduced. With a massive 5.36 hectares in Grand Cru Clos de Beze, these are defintely wines to seek out.
Pierre Damoy took over production from his uncle in 1992 and found himself at the helm of what is indeed one of the jewels of the Cote d’Or: 25 acres of vines, 75% of which lie in 3 of the most esteemed Grands Crus in Burgundy. His focus is clearly on the terroir and expressing the greatness of the soil and grapes, creating wonderful wines.
