At the western edge of Provence is the estuary of Rhone River, the Camargue. The soils here are sandy and barely above sea level. Organically farmed, Les Embruns roses have the palest gris colour, ripe red fruits and very suave finish.
Sable de Camargue is the Indication Geographique Protegee (IGP) title for wines made along the Mediterranean coast of eastern Languedoc in the south of France. The appellation is best known for its Vins Gris made predominantly from Grenache, Cinsaut and Carignan.
