En-Primeur - also known as "wine futures" - is the opportunity to purchase top Bordeaux wines while they are still aging in barrel at the Châteaux. This centuries-old system allows wine lovers and collectors to access the newest vintage before it's bottled and released to the wider market.
-
Buying En-Primeur gives you early access to some of the world's most sought-after wines, often at the most favourable price. It's the best way to secure limited allocations of prestigious labels, ensure perfect provenance, and be part of the vintage from the very beginning.
-
Each year, Bordeaux Châteaux release their wines for En-Primeur during a short campaign - usually in May or June.
Here's how it works:
- You place your request through Maison Vauron, selecting from our curated releases. During the campaign, we will release 1-3 offers per week. Make sure you're signed up to our newsletter and select "En Primeur" as one of your mail preferences to hear about these offers.
- Your request is submitted through our website to our buyer.
- Once your request has been reviewed and approved, you will be sent an invoice for the first price payment.
- The wine remains at the Châteaux to mature in barrel for around 18–24 months.
- Once bottled and shipped, you will be sent an invoice for the second price payment.
- Your wine is available for collection or delivery, ready to cellar or enjoy. Santé!
-
- Access to exclusive and often limited-release wines
- Preferential pricing compared to post-release bottles
