While not one of the noble varieties of Alsace, Pinot Blanc has a special place in the hearts of the locals. It's very similar to Pinot Gris, but retains more acidity over the ripening period, and is generally planted in poorer cooler sites as focus is normally on Pinot Gris. This makes it perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy a fesh, dry white from Alsace.
