We love Absinthe.

Yet, this herbal drink is one of the world’s most misunderstood spirits.

Demystify absinthe with us.

• Will absinthe make me hallucinate?
No, the “Green Fairy Effect” is based on exaggerated claims.

• Why absinthe had been banned?
Spread of poorly made absinthe, sensationalist stories and rivalry with winemakers. French politics banned absinthe via an anti-alcoholism campaign called “All for the wine, against absinthe”.

• Will it turn me into an amazing painter?
Many expressionist painters featured absinthe heavily in their artworks, from Van Gogh to Die Brucke. Absinthe may have inspired them, but skill alone is what made them great.

• Should I do shots of absinthe?
Probably not. It is a lot better when diluted with sugar and water, or in a cocktail.
