Description
Baron le Roy de Boiseaumarié, one of the founders of the AOC board, felt the terroir in his family’s vineyard provided a more expressive avenue for Syrah than Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s traditionally dominant Grenache. This cuveé is dedicated to him. Since its creation in 2001, the Syrah dominant Cuvée Baron has improved with each vintage. Despite some troubles early in the vintage the fruit quality was excellent ensuring the wine’s power, elegance and aging potential.
