Description
Château Chantaloutte, The Singing Lark, is the second wine of the famous Château de Sales which has been owned by the same family in Bordeaux for over 500 years. The wine is a classic example of Pomerol with deep clay and gravel soils giving intensity and structure to the wine. In this large vineyard the soils are worked with traditional horse and plough which benefits the Merlot that is king here with, over 70% of the vineyard planted with this variety. Chantalouette may be a second wine, but it is still long lasting in the cellar.
Grape 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
