Description
Pierre Gaillard is a prolific winemaker from the Rhône known not only for his stunning wines, but also the vivid labels that front them. Serral meaning hillside in Catalan, is from vines planted on a schisty hillside in the Roussion close to the Spanish border. Its use of Gaillard’s familiar grape varieties pays homage to his home of the Rhône. Production is incredibly limited with low yields which deliver a high concentration in the fruit. After the fermentation the wine is matured in oak barrels and steel vats for 18 months and is plush, concentrated and devilishly aromatic.
