Description
Saint-Péray is one of the most southern appellations in the Northern-Rhône, producing white wine and sparkling of great intensity from Marsanne and Roussanne. Pierre Gaillard utilises these rough granitic slopes to bring an intense minerality to the richness and honeyed characters of Marsanne, while the Roussanne lifts the wine with delicate aromatic encouragement. The wines of Saint-Péray can be long lived and if kept well can develop an almost waxy texture and rich stone fruits after four years.
Grape 70% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne
Food match tuna sashimi, veal in cream sauce, steamed flaky fish, roast pumpkin and pinenuts
