Description
Saint-Joseph is in the northern part of the Northern Rhône appellation, a long and narrow strip that runs north to south on the right bank of the river Rhône. This expression is a blend of parcels taken from all over the region, which shows the diversity of the region’s terroir. The wine goes through a rigorously extractive fermentation process, and as such the grapes are destemmed before all the fun happens. The richness and elegance of this wine is a typical of the terroir, which Gaillard has coaxed out of the grapes. The wine is drinking well now but will benefit from 3-6 years in the cellar.
