Marcel Lapierre

Marcel Lapierre

Founded at the beginning of the century, the family estate has been handed down from father to son for more than three generations. Lapierre family enjoys a privileged situation in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards and one of its flagships is the Morgon “cru”. Marcel took over the family estate in 1973, and stepped into the path of legendary success, demonstrating Beaujolais has more to offer than Nouveau wines.

In 1981, he went back to traditional method of vinification and culture, making natural wines. Since his return to the domain in 2005, Mathieu Lapierre has perpetuated the tradition of natural wines initiated by his ancestors thus bringing his contribution to the development of the domain, following organic and biodynamic vineyard practices.
